Miller, Rachel, Continuing Down This Path, Complementarians Lose. (May 22nd, 2015). Miller’s article accepts Jared Moore’s understanding that the authors of the book One God, Three Persons (Ware and Starke, eds.) teach subordination within the immanent (ontological) – not just the economic – Trinity. Miller states that she has read ‘portions’ of the book; however, she seems to quote only from Moore’s article. It would have been better if both she and Moore had taken note of the full title of the book: One God, Three Persons: Unity of Essence, Distinction of Persons, Implications for Life (my emphasis).
Miller, Rachel, Does the Son Eternally Submit to the Authority of the Father. (May 28th, 2015). In this critique of Grudem, Miller continues to conflate submission within the immanent Trinity and the economic Trinity. Grudem, of course, repeatedly and emphatically insists that the two should be distinguished.
